I started off my morning with a five-mile run around Disney’s Boardwalk area. The Boardwalk area is so beautiful! I ran to Hollywood Studios and the International Gateway entrance to Epcot. It felt great to have my workout completed before lunchtime!
It was definitely a hot and humid morning, and I didn’t have to think twice about taking a walk break to snap a few pretty pictures. I am definitely looking forward to completing some of my long runs here as part of my marathon training.
Cocoa Beach Day
On Wednesday, Jenn, Cait and I went to Cocoa Beach for the day. The drive to Cocoa Beach was about an hour and completely worth it! Cocoa Beach wasn’t very crowded, so we were able to get a spot right by the ocean. The waves were choppy, and Cait donated her sunglasses to the waves within the first five minutes. Cait said they were cheap, so that was a relief.
After we had our fill of the ocean, we decided to go to Coconuts on the Beach for lunch. We each got a Kona Longboard to drink. Cait and Jenn got the grilled Mahi Mahi fish tacos, and I opted for the grilled shrimp tacos. The food was delicious, and the atmosphere was exactly what we were looking for. It was the perfect “beachy” lunch spot!
Before we left Cocoa Beach, we had to stop at Ron Jon’s Surf Shop. We looked around and then headed back to Disney. A beach day was just what we needed, and the perfect way to spend our day off. I’m already looking forward to the next beach day!
We planned on going mini-golfing with our other roommates, but the beach wiped us out. We spent the evening watching Wreck It Ralph and eating chocolate. Perfect end to a perfect day!
Have a Wild Day!
