Happy Friday, everyone!
It’s actually my Friday, since I have Saturday and Sunday off! Yay for ADOs (authorized days off) and visitors! I’ll be headed to Sanford tonight after work for some quality time with my aunt and cousin. 🙂
So far, the Disney College Program has been a very positive experience! My program is already to its halfway point, and I can’t believe it. The first two months have completely flown by. It’s crazy to think that Christmas will be here in exactly two months. It’s also crazy to think that for the first time in my life, I will not be home for Thanksgiving or Christmas (*cue pity party for one).
In a month, I will know for sure whether or not I will be extending my stay in the Orlando area, but for now, I am trying to do as much as possible in the next two months. My program ends January 3rd, and I still have so many things I want to do!
Last week, I went to Cape May at the Beach Club for the character breakfast buffet. It was delicious! It also wasn’t too expensive for a character meal. Minnie, Goofy and Donald stopped by our table to meet us. They were dressed in their beach attire!
My favorite items from the breakfast buffet included: yogurt with fresh fruit, chorizo egg scramble and French toast. Cape May has the always delicious Mickey waffles in the children section.
After breakfast, we headed to the back entrance of Epcot. We rode a few rides then went to walk around World Showcase to sample some of the Food and Wine Festival items. Tip – If you’re trying to avoid crowds, head to the Festival Center to check out all of the Food and Wine merchandise and maybe even sign up for a wine or food tasting class while you’re there!
Wilson Phillips was playing at the Eat to the Beat Concert Series, so we were able to watch them perform. The performance was great! Ever since I was a newborn, I have loved Wilson Phillips. I sent my mom a video of them performing, so she could be part of it, too. Thank goodness for iPhones!
My favorite treat from the Food and Wine stands was definitely the Spicy Hand Roll from the Japan stand. I haven’t tried all of the stands yet and am looking forward to trying the garlic shrimp from Australia and the apple dessert in Germany.
Have a Wild Day! I’m headed to the Dino Institute to continue some research.
