My Very Disney Birthday

Good morning, everyone! Things are about to get crazy around here with the Thanksgiving crowd. I only work three days this week, but I’m there for 34 hours. I’ll let you know how that goes…

I started my morning off with a quick circuit workout and short run, and now I’m going to “enjoy” an 11-hour work day.

I’m feeling 23.

My birthday (November 18) started off with a gorgeous 4-mile run around the housing complexes. The day was sunny and beautiful!

My roommates and I made spontaneous plans to go out for a birthday breakfast, so five of us hopped in the car and drove to Old Key West to eat at Olivia’s Cafe. If you have never been to Olivia’s Cafe, you should definitely try it. I consider it one of Disney’s best hidden gems!

I had Olivia’s breakfast which came with two eggs, breakfast potatoes, bacon and toast. The meal filled me up and tasted delicious! Some of the girls got pancakes and said they were very tasty.

Beautiful girls at a beautiful resort!

Two of my roommates and I decided to go to Downtown Disney to get some shopping done and look around. I ended up buying a really cute Minnie Mouse bracelet and got the best birthday button I have ever seen.

Look at the balloons!

No birthday at Walt Disney World is complete without going to Magic Kingdom, so we hopped on the monorail and headed over. While I was getting my bag checked, the security guard asked me if it was my sweet sixteen. I told him it was seven years ago, and we both got a good laugh out of that.

Basically, I just wanted some birthday pictures in front of Cinderella Castle with my birthday button on. I’m difficult; I know. But, I got my pictures, so I was happy!

The Christmas decorations are so beautiful at Magic Kingdom! I’m so lucky to be here during the holidays, because Walt Disney  World goes above and beyond all expectations at all of the parks and resorts. I love it!

After we left Magic Kingdom, we had some fun getting complimentary snacks in the Club Level at the Grand Floridian. Our dinner reservations were a little later than usual, so we could enjoy Wishes from the California Grill!

At dinner, I opted to just get sushi and had tuna four ways. The sushi melted in my mouth like butter which is such a weird thing to say about fish. But, it’s the only way to accurately describe the texture.

The waiter brought out a delicious birthday dessert to end my absolutely perfect Disney birthday!
