Dinner in Canada

The other night I had one of the best meals of my life! Eating at Le Cellier is always delicious, and scoring a last-minute reservation made it even better.

If you’ve never eaten in Canada before, but you love filet mignon and pretzel bread, you should put it on your Disney bucket list. Even if you don’t love those two items, there are other delicious entrees, and the ambiance can’t be beat.

If you are on the Disney Dining Plan, Le Cellier takes two table service credits since it is a signature dining experience.

I was torn between getting the Canadian Cheddar Cheese Soup for an appetizer or just eating bread, but opted to just go with the bread. Three types of bread are included in the bread basket: pretzel, sourdough and whole wheat cranberry bread. The pretzel bread is my absolute favorite, so I ate more than my fill of it. If you’re looking for another appetizer option, the Chopped Lobster Salad is also delicious.

For my entree, I decided on the Le Cellier Mushroom Filet Mignon. The filet tasted just as perfect as I remembered!  A long time ago, this entree came with cream cheese mashed potatoes that were incredible, and one time I came with my family to find they were no longer offered on the menu. However, the mushroom risotto has the best flavor and is perfectly creamy. It pairs deliciously with the filet.

The dessert in Canada isn’t anything to brag about, unless you get the child’s chocolate mousse dessert. The dessert comes out in the shape of a moose. When I was younger, this dessert also used to be more impressive, but it is still cute and a better option than the majority of desserts on the adult menu.

I opted for an after dinner coffee instead, since I was so full from the bread and entree.

The food and service at Le Cellier is impeccable, and I would definitely recommend eating here if you can score reservations!
