Good morning, everyone!
Since moving to Indy and starting a full-time internship, I have had to make one huge switch.
But, when am I supposed to workout?!
Working out and being healthy has always been a huge priority for me. I love the way it makes me feel, and it’s one of my favorite stress-reducers. After leaving work at 5 p.m. and commuting home, I started to fall into a slump. I would sit down in the kitchen or on the couch, and that was it. I was in for the night.
I have adapted three strategies to prevent that from happening:
1. Bring workout clothes to work, change at work and head straight to the gym on my way home.
2. Workout in the wee-early hours of the morning.
3. Schedule a class at my new obsession, Pure Barre.
I usually workout as soon as I wake up in the morning.
I have found SO many benefits to forcing myself out of bed in the morning. (Brace yourself for this next part…) I usually wake up bright and early at exactly 4:51 a.m. on workout days. And by bright, I mean the stars are still shining bright. Kind of gross to think about, but sacrifices must be made.
Today was no different.
Cardio + Abs & Arms Circuit
My morning started off at the gym with a 2-mile run on the treadmill. The downside to early AM workouts is that running outside is not an option. I don’t feel comfortable running alone when it’s dark out!
Speaking of which, Indy friends, do you want to run sometime?! Let’s start a running group! Or, do you know of one I should join? Tell me about it!
I only have one more training run until the Disneyland Half! But, knowing my mom and I, we will squeeze another one in at Disneyland. Everywhere we travel to we always run. It’s our tradition!
After finishing my run, I completed this quick arms + abs circuit.
