I hope your week is off to a great start! I’m planning on joining a gym with a pool after work today, so I can get in some cardio while I wait for my foot to heal. I tried out a “chair cardio” video yesterday, but I just don’t feel like I worked that hard!
Day 1 of my Whole30 challenge went extremely well. I felt full and satisfied. I’m looking forward to experimenting in the kitchen with some different recipes!
Disneyland: Where the Magic began!
I’m a diehard Walt Disney World fan! I have gone to WDW at least once a year for my entire life. Before the DCP, I probably had gone….well, let’s just say A LOT of times!
Some people who love Walt Disney World are disappointed when they visit Disneyland for the first time (and vice versa!). I have no idea why!
Walt Disney actually was there for the opening of Disneyland. That was his first park. That in itself is enough to make me love Disneyland!
Everything at Disneyland feels so familiar yet different. When I finally saw the castle, I remembered just how small Sleeping Beauty Castle is! Sleeping Beauty Castle is 100 feet shorter than Cinderella Castle at WDW!
it’s a small world is the same though, right? No! It’s a small world is Disney themed! I really think WDW should incorporate this!
Some other characters we spotted included Aladdin & Jasmine, Alice in Wonderland and Peter Pan & his crew! It added such a fun element to it’s a small world!
Pineapple Dole Whip Floats even taste better! My mom and I waited in line for about 15 minutes to get two of these refreshing and delicious Dole Whips! Mmmm!
After finishing these, of course we went to The Enchanted Tiki Room to sing and dance along!
Well, hello there! Indiana Jones has the same track and vehicles as Dinosaur! Indiana Jones is much better themed than Dinosaur, but Dinosaur will always hold a special piece of my heart now thanks to the DCP! A part of me still misses working at Dinosaur…. *sigh* Welcome back time travelers! Please gather your belongings, exit toward me and up the stairs!
Those are just a few of the differences at Disneyland! Other notable differences:
- Mickey’s Toontown still exists
- Mr. Toad’s Wild Ride
- Space Mountain seats two per row
- Pirates of the Caribbean drops 3 times (2 are very, very small hills)
I will post soon about California Adventure and how some of the rides there differ from WDW!
Questions of the Day:
- Have you ever been to Disneyland/Disney World? Which do you prefer?
- What is one place you would love to visit?
I will keep my answer in the United States and say the Grand Canyon! I would love to go hiking and just see the canyons with my own eyes. I’ve heard it is breathtaking!
