High Five for Friday!

Happy Friday, everyone!

After work, I’m heading home for the weekend. I have some fun things planned including reuniting with some college friends and going to the Illini game! 🙂

This week went by slower than usual for me. I’m wearing a walking cast right now, and it’s cramping my style. But, I’m determined to make next week better!

Here are five things I have enjoyed this past week!

1. This quote.

Keep not settling.
(source)

I found this quote back in February one day, and it has resonated with me ever since. Think about it. Don’t settle!

2. The changing seasons (Hello Fall!).

While driving home from work yesterday, I noticed some of the leaves are starting to change colors! I can’t wait for fall weather, apple orchards, pumpkin patches and other fall things!

3. Elizabeth and James Nirvana Perfume.

I bought the little roller ball of Nirvana White at Sephora last weekend, and I can’t stop smelling it. So. Good. When I run out of it, I’ll probably have to cave and buy the big bottle. And then, I’ll probably have to buy the Nirvana Black, so I can layer them. Mary-Kate and Ashley never truly go away. You go girls!

4. These Sperry boots.

Sperry Boots

They are so comfortable, and I’m looking forward to wearing them all fall! I think they would look great with skinny jeans, leggings and dresses with tights. Shopping for fall is always so much fun. I love layering, wearing scarves and

5. Pumpkin Spice Coffee.

Last month, I told you about the delicious s’mores coffee I found at Target. Now there is a new love in my life – Archer Farms Pumpkin Spice. I love sipping on a cup of hot pumpkin spice coffee with a little almond milk and a dash of cinnamon. This coffee is so much better than a Pumpkin Spice Latte from Starbucks!

I’m linking up with Farmer Bell, Meet at the Barre and The Lauren Elizabeth today, so be sure to check out those blogs to see what others have been up to this week! 🙂

Links I’m Loving

Happy Wednesday, friends! Thanks for stopping by. 🙂

Shout out to my friend Amy! Happy 23rd Birthday!!!

I felt a little sluggish this morning when my alarm clock went off, but I’m finally waking up!

My morning started off with three eggs and a cup of pumpkin spice coffee. I’m addicted! On the way to work, I continued my breakfast with a sliced honeycrisp apple and almond butter. I ran out of Justin’s almond butter today, so I need to pick some up ASAP! I’m not exactly sure if it is Whole 30 approved, but I’m just going with it. Don’t rain on my parade if it’s not!

Today I decided to share a few of the links I’m loving right now. Let me know what you think!

Whole30 Approved Foods:

Skillet sweet potato, sausage and sweet potato hash from So Good Paleo

Zucchini noodles with creamy roasted tomato basil sauce from Running to the Kitchen (omitting a few ingredients, like cheese!)

The Paleo kitchen pumpkin waffles from PaleOMG. I know in the Whole30, you aren’t supposed to re-create foods. But, this is something completely different, right! What’s a waffle? 😉

Workouts:

One of my best friends sent me these swimming workouts that I’m excited to try out! I’ll be modifying them to my skill level.

I’ve done this ab workout twice now and love that the last move makes me shake. Core workouts not involving planks are quickly becoming my go-to.

Doing this barre-inspired arm workout really makes my arms feel the burn! I complete it two or three times.

Blogs:

Peanut Butter Fingers: Peanut Butter Fingers has been my favorite blog for years now. Julie posts quick recipes, fun workouts and adorable pictures of her Vizsla!

Treble in the Kitchen: Tara recently moved to Colorado, so I’m having fun living vicariously through her and her new Colorado adventures! Plus, she used to live in Indy!

Katie’s Fit Script: I’ve been following Katie on Instagram for about a year and love that she finally has a blog! I am enjoying reading her views on different exercise and nutrition topics. She clearly has a very kind heart!

Gold-Hatted Lover: Mary-Katherine posts outfits for all occasions as well as other things like travelling. I really like her sense of style and get a lot of outfit inspiration from her!
